Keywords:
clinical trials, ethics committees, gender representationAbstract
The article examines the legal and ethical aspects of conducting clinical trials,
with particular emphasis on gender representation. It highlights that the insufficient
participation of women in clinical trials undermines the quality of scientific data,
increases the risk of adverse effects, and infringes the constitutional principle of equality
in access to healthcare services. Both EU regulations and national provisions are
discussed. The article also stresses the need for more precise legal mechanisms to ensure
