Abstract

The paper compares the media coverage of the 15th anniversary of the
Smolensk plane crash in the main news programs of five Polish TV stations: TVP1,
TVN, Polsat, TV Trwam, and TV Republika. It highlights differences in narrative tone,
topic selection, political commentary, and emotional framing. The analysis illustrates the
diversity of editorial perspectives and the media’s influence on public perception of
historical events.
